"She's just an old magazine hack," author Michael Wolff said last month of Tina Brown, adding that her Website, Daily Beast, was "preposterous … who wants to read all those old guys?" Um. Apparently lots of people. In fact, according to Portfolio, Brown's site just edged out Wolff's rival Newser.com in numbers, after generating 11.4 million pageviews since its October 15 debut.
