This may be weird to say, but sometimes it strikes us that Dick Cheney looks like a penny.

In an interview aired yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Vice-President Cheney made fun of Joe Biden for not keeping his Articles of the Constitution straight. Cheney pointed out that Biden once said the powers of the executive branch are laid out in Article I, when in fact, they're largely laid out in Article II. Ha-ha!

"Joe's been chairman of the Judiciary Committee, a member of the Judiciary Committee in the Senate for 36 years, teaches constitutional law back in Delaware, and can't keep straight which article of the Constitution provides for the legislature and which provides for the executive."

Seems kind of jerky, right? Especially since he's in the last days of office and he could just bow out quietly and gracefully. But if you think about it, it's not nearly as harsh as what Joe Biden said about Cheney in October (that he's been "the most dangerous vice-president we've had probably in American history"). Cheney's just not participating in the weird Washington turnover charade where everybody pretends that they actually respect one another after months of trash-talking. Why should Cheney, all of a sudden after eight years, now stop being a dick?
