Posters like the ones pictures have been popping up all over Paris, according to Andrew Sullivan. They appear to mimic the famous Shepard Fairey "Hope" images of Barack Obama, except this new version is a little more, um, wrinkly. The artist couldn't even manage to erase Nicholas Sarkozy's subtle-but-omnipresent French sneer.

The blogger Cedric from Paris2e, who snapped pics of the images, didn't know who was putting them up, or what they meant. But we do: It's simply more evidence that Europe is totally, cuticle-mashingly jealous of America now!
