The Rooms, They Are a’Changin’

12/5/08 at 12:53 PM

The battle between the Chelsea Hotel's rock-royalty past and its new, more corporate management goes on. This time around, the honchos want to redo a bunch of rooms in the hotel, including the one where Bob Dylan wrote Blonde on Blonde! And apparently they can, because even though the building itself is landmarked, the rooms ain't. Chelsea Hotel poobahs, please leave the room formerly belonging to the artist formerly known as Robert Zimmerman alone! Otherwise we'll have to stand embarrassingly outside the hotel and break just like a little girl. [MyFoxNY via Living With Legends]
