Who's your favorite New Yorker, living or dead, real or fictional?
I like Al Pacino as Milton in The Devil’s Advocate perched on that rooftop with the infinity pool.
What's the best meal you've eaten in New York?
I ate steamed calamari with medium sauce at Vincent’s in Little Italy twice, and it was amazing. The third time I opted for the hot sauce, and it was so incredibly hot that I will never be the same.
In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?
As Dorota I bustle around, eavesdrop, disapprove, approve, and get really excited about all things Miss Blair…
Would you still live here on a $35,000 salary?
Yeah … really recently.
What's the last thing you saw on Broadway?
I saw All My Sons with my best-ever theatergoing partner Jayne Kelly.
Do you give money to panhandlers?
Not usually, although I am sometimes won over by panhandlers with dogs.
What's your drink?
I love a super pour of Chardonnay at Desmond’s on Park Avenue South.
How often do you prepare your own meals?
Once a week I buy frozen things and salad from the new Trader Joe’s on Court Street in Brooklyn and heat/assemble a meal. Sometimes I make eggs.
What's your favorite medication?
I take Bayer Aspirin.
What's hanging above your sofa?
I have two blown-up black-and-white family pics: One is of a baby me with my dad in a cabbage patch, one is a candid of my mom looking gorgeous at work in her chemistry lab in Warsaw years ago.
How much is too much to spend on a haircut?
I don’t know. Fancy haircuts make me anxious.
When's bedtime?
12:30 weekdays, 2:30 weekends.
Which do you prefer, the old Times Square or the new Times Square?
The old Times Square was certainly more fabulous. I am intrigued by the strange free seating in the middle of the new new Times Square.
What do you think of Donald Trump?
I think Ivanka seems cool enough.
What do you hate most about living in New York?
I HATE riding the subway. I HATE carrying a ton of things all around town with me.
Who is your mortal enemy?
I fight a lifelong war with the alarm clock.
When's the last time you drove a car?
My parents came to visit in October, and I drove their car to Greenpoint so they could stock up on sausage, herring, chocolates, and liquor from the homeland.
How has the economic downturn affected your life?
Am I the first one to answer this new question? If this were a toast, I would toast to good fortune, health, and happiness for everyone!
Times, Post, or Daily News?
Times (but really Daily Intel). [Ed: OMFG!]
Where do you go to be alone?
I like the shower with lots of fancy products, scrubs, poufs … all of that.
What makes someone a New Yorker?
Seven years minimum stay.
