The Inauguration Wasn’t All Smiles and Bunting After All

We all know that there was a ton of crowding at Tuesday's swearing-in on the Washington Mall, but some newscasters would have you believe it was a joyful and enthusiastic experience anyway. Not so. Thousands of attendees, many of whom were even issued tickets, were outraged that they missed the whole thing because of faulty security and inefficient management. The roughly 1,500 people who were trapped in D.C.'s Third Street Tunnel for hours have formed a Facebook group, "Survivors of the Purple Tunnel of Doom." Which stinks, because that's totally what we were going to name our rock band of newly gay dudes. [WP]
