Sure, we have our issues with Dr. Doom, a.k.a. Nouriel Roubini: He hasn't been very nice to us, for starters, and what with all the time he spends on TV foretelling economic ruin, we wonder when he is ever able to do his actual work as an economist. However, we are starting to come around to the vagina-walled doomsdayer, because lately he's been proving himself to be more than one of those gleeful-pessimist types who thinks the U.S. government is a Ponzi scheme and natters on about gold, etc. In fact, in this interview with the Institutional Risk Analyst, Roubini clearly lays out a reasonable course of action regarding the banks that he thinks will stabilize the U.S. economy. He even says things like "when we get out of this serious recession we're in now." Emphasis ours because, wow, it doesn't even sound like he means the year 2040. Cheers to you, Dr. Doom — see you on the other side of the recession!
