New York, Los Angeles, Chicago No Longer Accepting Substitute-Teacher Applications

School districts across the country are being inundated with applications from substitute teachers as unemployment rises and thousands search for part-time work. Public-school systems in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago have stopped accepting résumés. There are a lot of awesome jokes to be made about substitute teachers, but our mom used to be one, so we'll refrain. You are free to put yours in the comments. [USAT]
