Obama to Reverse Ban on Stem-cell Funding

President Obama will sign an executive order today overturning a ban on federally financed stem-cell research that President Bush put into place in 2001. At the same time, he'll issue a memo declaring that science will not be influenced by politics in his administration. But Obama will leave a thornier issue whether to repeal the deceptively funny-sounding Dickey-Wicker amendment that prohibits research on embryos themselves to Congress.
