The president plans to name administration tech adviser Julius Genachowski as FCC chairman, according to a Dem source. Genachowski has worked at Barry Diller's IAC and at the FCC under Bill Clinton, and is a former classmate of Obama's from Harvard Law School. Man, imagine if you were the president's former classmate and he could get you big, powerful positions. The only very important person we went to college with is Sally Pressman, who plays spunky Roxy LeBlanc on the Lifetime original series Army Wives. Which is insanely awesome, of course, but she's never gotten us a job, even once. [WSJ]
