A new Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll asked respondents how they felt about a number of controversial figures, including Bernie Madoff, who we had thought everyone agreed was a terrible human being. But 8 percent actually have a favorable opinion of Madoff, and perhaps even more strangely, 76 percent have no opinion either way, as if he was just some dude they hadn't heard of. This scares us.
