Ever Threatened to Leave Your Whining Kids on the Side of the Road?

That's what Madlyn Primoff did. Sick and tired of hearing her two daughters, 10 and 12, whine in the backseat, she ditched them on the side of the road on their way to the family home in Scarsdale. Sound scary? It gets worse: The older girl caught up with the car and apologized, so Primoff let her back in, abandoning the 10-year-old on the side of the road. The distraught girl was found by a Good Samaritan, offered ice cream, and then brought to the police station. Eventually, Primoff called the cops to report a missing child, and they called her to the station to arrest her. She's been slapped with a temporary order of protection and has to stay away from the girls.

This sounds like a story of nightmares, but if you think about it, it's actually a story of miracles. A small girl got abandoned on the side of the road and didn't get hurt? Another one was sprinting in traffic and didn't get hurt?? A stranger picking up a small girl on the side of the road by offering her ice cream wasn't a child molester?? Seriously, stories like this warm the cockles of our little hearts.
