Jim Tedisco Not Desperate at All

In a move that makes zero sense on its face, Republican Jim Tedisco, who is locked in a tight race with Democrat Scott Murphy for Kirsten Gillibrand's old congressional seat, has "submitted a petition to the Dutchess County Supreme Court Thursday asking the judge to declare him the winner of the extremely close special election." The thing is, Tedisco is currently down by 264 votes. As Josh Marshall suggests, there could be a reasonable explanation that would make this sound less ridiculous although it would be perfectly consistent with Tedisco's other Coleman-esque moves if there wasn't.
