It appears, based on a new Marist poll, that nothing David Paterson has done recently — pushing for gay marriage, challenging opponents of an MTA bailout to street fights, doing gymnastics and mocking the disabled — has helped revive his tanking poll numbers. Only 19 percent of registered voters approve of Paterson's job performance, and 51 percent would rather have the Gremlin-resisting Eliot Spitzer back in the governor's mansion. [Marist]
