David Geffen's inquiries about purchasing Harbinger Capital's 19 percent stake in the Times were not as serious as the media made them out to be, the Post informs us this morning in a weird, nasty little story. "Calling it 'talks' is laughable," a source tells the Murdoch-owned paper. "It was one phone call that lasted less than five minutes." Right? It's like they had one drunken hookup and the Times is trying to act like they were married or something. Losers. [NYP]
