Specter Not a Traitor, Just Confused

New Democrat Arlen Specter left everyone in a state of befuddlement after telling The New York Times Magazine that he hoped Republican Norm Coleman would prevail in his stubborn, long-shot appeal of his loss to Democrat Al Franken. Was he joking? No, really, please, tell us you were joking. But Specter later admitted that he simply forgot who he was supposed to be rooting for now. "In the swirl of moving from one caucus to another, I have to get used to my new teammates,” he told CQ Politics. “I’m ordinarily pretty correct in what I say. I’ve made a career of being precise.
