Last night at a DNC fund-raiser in Manhattan, vice-president Joe Biden rewarded those willing to pony up $1,000 a plate by insulting their hometown baseball team. "Unlike the Yankees, we got out of the gate pretty quick," Biden said to "sighs from the Big Apple crowd," reports Politico. "I think we've started to rack up a few victories." Granted, the Yankees did start off slowly, but they're in first place now — unlike, say, the Washington Nationals, whose season has been about as successful thus far as Biden's presidential campaign.
