Jamie Dimon Sends Wad of Cash, No Note, to Government
JPMorgan paid back its share of the TARP money today, "in full, with interest," and probably as a cherry on top they even paid the wire-transfer fee. Unlike certain brown-nosers, CEO Jamie Dimon, who has been vocal about the bank not needing the money in the first place, did not include a note, flowers, or any invitations to his famous barbecues with his check. According to DealBook, the firm's announcement was short and "didn’t include any comment from the firm’s chief," though, to be fair, they can't see inside his office and thus can't have included the gestures the CEO's been making in the general direction of D.C. all morning long.
