The 29-year-old South Carolina native (and Yankees fan!) held off sentimental favorite Phil Mickelson, whose late charge earned him a tie for second place (along with David Duval and Ricky Barnes), as well as the dubious distinction as the most prolific runner-up in tournament history — it was his fifth such finish.
