In a statement released this morning, Sarah Palin accepted the heartfelt apology of David Letterman. "Of course it's accepted on behalf of young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve," the statement reads. She also thanks "our U.S. military women and and men putting their lives on the line" to protect Letterman's right to "joke" (scare quotes again) and her right to milk that joke for all it's worth express her displeasure.
