Dashing the hopes and dreams of little children everywhere, Alec Baldwin has, shockingly, decided not to run against Joe Lieberman for the Senate in 2012, despite the latter's cocksure challenge over the weekend. What happened to Baldwin's scorn for Lieberman, so clearly evident not too long ago when he told Playboy, "I have no use for him"? Can something like that just disappear? Can it dry up like a raisin in the sun? As it turns out, no. Though Baldwin declined the opportunity to personally vanquish Lieberman, he couldn't resist taking a shot at the Democrat turned independent anyway. "Part of me would hate to see Lieberman go," he said in a statement, "because there are so few moderate Republicans left in the Senate today."
