How many times have you read an "about the author" section of a book (or worse: the acknowledgments. Or, horrors: the dedication!) in which the author refers to a significant other that s/he had split with by press time? It happens a lot, but it won't happen to David Cross, who in his new book, I Drink for a Reason, has invented a clever way to refer to his current relationship with the actress Amber Tamblyn. Tamblyn and her whole family must share Cross's irreverence, since that photo is of Tamblyn's father. Hopefully, this will become a trend — does Gay Talese have a new one coming out? [Dlisted]
