An anonymous "prominent" Democratic state senator tells the Post that Pedro Espada's son, who totally secured a newly created $120,000-a-year position in Albany on his own merits and not as part of any backroom quid pro quo, is "lazy and not so smart." But the younger Espada claims such naysayers have it backward — on his Facebook page yesterday, he posted this quote from Albert Einstein: "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."
