From all outward appearances, Goldman Sachs is still on a winning streak — analysts expect the quarter that ends tomorrow will prove to be just as disgustingly profitable as the last two — and with each rainfall, the amount in the bonus pool gets closer and closer to the record $18.8 billion. But is Lloyd Blankfein happy about this? No, he is not.

And while a typical CEO would be cheering such news, for Blankfein another gold-plated quarter represents a huge headache, as the firm's success has been greeted with intense scorn on both Wall Street and Main Street.

If only he wasn't so good-looking, they might take it easier on him. No one likes to see pretty people win.
