HIV Vaccine Trial Shows Modest Success
For the first time ever, a vaccine trial showed results that indicate it may be possible to prevent HIV infection. In a large-scale trial in Thailand, more than 16,000 people between 18 and 30 were given either a combination of prime vaccine and booster or a placebo.
