Paul Krugman: ‘The End of the World Has Been Postponed’

“The end of the world appears to have been postponed,” Nobel Prize–winning economist Paul Krugman said at a seminar in Helsinki today, adding that although the economic recovery will be “slow and painful,” the world “does not appear to be falling into an abyss.” Apparently he hasn't seen the news yet. Let’s not tell him, okay? We can’t bear to see that elfin face crumple. [Bloomberg]
