When Trying to Sell Your Stolen Painting, Leave Out the ‘Stolen’ Part
A Brooklyn couple was busted with a valuable Russian painting that was stolen from the Nicholas Roerich Museum. Denis Ryjenko and his girlfriend, Natella Croussouloudis, were hoping to sell the $125,000 work, called "Himalayas." They were busted by undercover cops after they spent weeks showing off the painting and telling people it was "hot." [NYP]
