Centenarian Granny Sees Justice Done

Two years ago, Rose Morat, a 101-year-old grandmother, was mugged in the lobby of her building. Yesterday, the now-103-year-old finally saw the man who held a knife to her throat for $33 sent to jail. She credits her stamina with a regimen, she told the Times, of “exercise and no junk food. I’m going to be 104 soon, God willing,” she added. “Why am I here? I don’t know. People say it’s because I am an inspiration, I don’t know. Maybe I am.”
