The family of real-estate superagent Linda Stein, the broker to the stars who was murdered in her apartment two years ago, is suing her firm over the hiring of assistant Natavia Lowery. Stein's daughters, Samantha Wells and Mandi Stein, are suing Douglas Elliman and the employment agency Axion over not properly screening Lowry before assigning her to work with Stein. Lowery ended up working out of Stein's home, and in a confession she has since disputed, admitted to bludgeoning her boss to death after suffering through a verbal tirade. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
