Long-time CNN anchor Lou Dobbs has resigned, effective immediately, the network has confirmed to the Times. His last program will be tonight, in its usual 7 p.m. time slot, whereupon we assume we'll find out the reason why he's leaving so abruptly, two years before his contract expires.
