The New York Times reports today that people who can't stop themselves from texting or talking on the phone while driving (which, as The Ethicist scolds in the Magazine, is bad even hands-free) are installing systems that monitor how fast their cars are going and block all cellphone signals if the car is in motion. There's even a workaround for passengers. Hooray for everyone who doesn't want to die an early death! Now we just have to find a way to make it standard in all cars like seatbelts.
