Yesterday, a Siena Poll had incumbent Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand beating City Comptroller (and mayoral near-misser) Bill Thompson 32 to 23 percent in a theoretical party primary. But today, a Quinnipiac poll has Thompson trouncing Gillibrand in the same contest, 41–28. So, er, congratulations to nobody. Especially not to the pollsters, because that is one heck of a discrepancy. [NYP]
