Howard Wolfson is about to join Mayor Bloomberg’s administration as deputy mayor for communications, we hear from a very good source. Wolfson and Bloomberg have worked together before, most recently on the mayor’s campaign for a third term. Bloomberg’s hiring of such a high profile political strategist with presidential campaign experience suggests that he hasn’t erased all of his national ambitions. Or maybe it just means he wants some more indie rock in City Hall.
