Paul Greenwood, the town supervisor of North Salem, Westchester, who was convicted of a $553 million Ponzi scheme, has put his $8 million mansion on the market. According to the listing at Prudential Holmes & Kennedy, it was custom designed with “only the best of the best” in mind: The mantles are eighteenth-century marble, the antique wallpaper is 270 years old. And it’s all kept in “impeccable condition,” much like Greenwood’s $3 million collection of 1,350 Steiff teddy bears, housed in the shelving above left. When the feds took stock of the collection February, they reported that at least one was dressed fashionably in “a lavender-tipped mohair coat and felt spats.”
