Sarah Palin stopped by The O’Reilly Factor tonight to express her outrage over a reference to her youngest son, Trig, on Fox’s show Family Guy. On Sunday’s episode, a character on the show dates a girl with Down syndrome; when asked what her parents do, she responds, “My mom’s the former governor of Alaska.” (And Stewie sang a song called “Down Syndrome Girl” later in the episode.)
This morning, Palin took to her favorite venting spot, Facebook, where she described the show as “a kick in the gut,” and quoted her daughter Bristol (“If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks”).
Tonight she lamented to O’Reilly that “this world is full of cruel, coldhearted people” before asking, “When is enough enough? And when are we going to be willing to say, you know, some things just aren’t funny?”
