Nancy Pelosi needs 216 votes in the House to pass health-care reform, and 216 current Democrats voted for the first bill (a few others retired). If any of them change their minds, as is expected, Pelosi will need to flip some of the 39 Democrats who voted “no” the first time around. According to the AP, at least nine Democrats from the “no” group haven’t yet decided how they’re going to vote, and two of them are from New York: the capitol region’s Scott Murphy and Michael McMahon of Staten Island.
