This is turning into a verifiable congressional catfight. After Representative Randy Neugebauer claimed earlier today that his “baby killer” cry on the House floor Sunday wasn’t directed at pro-life Democrat Bart Stupak, who was speaking at the time, Stupak said he “doesn’t buy it.” Appearing on Larry King Live (guest-hosted by Wolf Blitzer) tonight, Stupak said he doesn’t believe Neugebauer’s explanation that he meant to say “it’s a baby killer,” referring to the bill as a whole, because, well, that just isn’t what he heard.
“The words were very clear on the floor, yes.” Stupak said, in response to Blitzer’s pressing.
