London’s Heathrow Airport Closed Monday Due to Volcanic Ash

Like Georgina Sparks, or a persistent rash, the volcanic ash just keeps coming back to wreak havoc. London’s Heathrow Airport (as well as the city's other airports) will be closed Monday, according to Britain’s National Air Traffic Service, as the “dense cloud” of ash moves across England from Iceland. And travelers may be in for years of this fun: The last time Eyjafjallajokul erupted, in 1821, emissions lasted for two years. [NYT]
