Cuban Spy Gets Life in Jail

Kendall Myers, a 73-year-old former State Department analyst who had been spying for Cuba for 30 years, was sentenced to life in jail yesterday. Myers pleaded guilty last November to conspiracy to commit espionage and wire fraud. His wife, Gwendolyn Steingraber Myers, admitted to only one count of conspiracy and received a sentence of six years in jail. (Fidel Castro, meanwhile, has been making rare public appearances on Cuban TV again.) Don’t trust anyone yet, because everyone knows these things happen in threes. [CNN]
