Bing Maps Now Calculate Your Cab Fare
Bing! You shouldn't waste your money on cabs.
Bing may still underperform as a search engine (here's one we tried this morning — a dig at Steve Jobs, perhaps?), but its mapping application (download it here for your browser) is another story. It uses crowd-sourced images to create 3-D virtual worlds, features red, yellow, and green overlays to show traffic patterns, and now it actually does something that could make it a real contender to Google Maps: calculates your cab fare.
