Cablevision and Fox: Still Feuding

Cablevision and Fox reached a stalemate in their negotiations yesterday, leaving WNYW channel 5 and WOR Channel 9 black, and preventing 3 million local subscribers from watching baseball’s National League Championship Series opener. After talking for hours, the two companies came up with absolutely nothing, since Cablevision claims to have paid $70 million a year for broadcasting rights, and Fox now wants $150 million. They’re going to meet again today, though, and it sounds like they’re thisclose to an agreement. [NYDN]
