Jon Stewart hosted Comedy Central’s “Night of Too Many Stars,” a fund-raiser for autism research, last night, and he took the opportunity to make his first cracks about fired CNN anchor Rick Sanchez. People who shouldn’t donate to autism? Fired anti-Semites, Stewart explained: “If you went on radio and said the Jews control the media … you may want to hold on to your money.” He added, “All [Sanchez] has to do is apologize to us, and we’ll hire him back.” Stewart will reportedly officially address the Sanchez controversy on The Daily Show on Monday, probably by making a joke about it, and Gawker is predicting an upcoming Sanchez Daily Show appearance.
