To keep bees in Red Hook from snacking on vats of bright red corn syrup at a nearby maraschino-cherry factory, beekeepers have suggested either draping the bins in vinegar-soaked fabric or building mesh lockers to transport the vats with a sugar syrup on the factory roof as a distraction.
