Oak Beach, during happier times.
Over the past three days, four corpses have been discovered in the heavy brush of Oak Beach, which is located on a barrier island off the southern coast of Long Island. One of the bodies may be that of a missing 24-year-old prostitute who disappeared nearby. Two were in burlap sacks, and all were badly decomposed and found within one quarter-mile stretch. The search continued today for more bodies, one of the least fun beach activities we can imagine. [NYP, NYT, NYDN]
