One other thing of note that happened during the otherwise uneventful reading of the Constitution on the House floor earlier today: During the section on presidential eligibility and natural-born citizenship, an apparent birther in the gallery screamed out, “Except Obama, except Obama, help us, Jesus!” She was quickly arrested and escorted out of the chamber by the sergeant at arms. We have a feeling that she isn’t the only person residing in the area where the Venn diagram circles of “birthers” and “religious nuts” overlap.
