Now Aristide Wants Back Into Haiti
Now that Baby Doc Duvalier is back in Haiti after 25 years of exile — giving no sign that he intends to leave again (not that he's allowed at the moment) — former democratically elected president Jean-Bertrand Aristide also wants to return. He's been in exile in South Africa since he was forced out of office in a coup in 2004, and Haiti is unlikely to issue a passport or visa to allow him in. [NYT]
