Luckily, the hydrochloric acid (which was being used for an experiment in chemistry class) was heavily diluted and didn’t result in any serious injuries. So what brought on this strange attack? The suspect, a 16-year-old girl at Fort Hamilton High School, wanted to get back at her former friend, a 15-year-old year girl, for “briefly dating” the 22-year-old guy both were apparently interested in.
