Lawrence Taylor Won’t Go to Prison

New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor won’t serve any jail time for paying a 16-year-old $300 for sex in an upstate New York hotel room last May. Instead, he’ll get six years of probation and have to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to statutory rape, a misdemeanor. The girl in question isn’t happy about the outcome:

The teen denied she is a prostitute and said another man forced her to go to Taylor’s hotel room in May 2010. She believes Taylor could tell that she had been beaten and that she was underage. She said Taylor took “something precious” from her and should be behind bars.

Taylor, on the other hand, is just glad that this hassle is behind him, finally. “Let me tell you something,” he said to Fox News’ Shepard Smith in a rambling interview shortly after being sentenced. “When this thing all went down, I thought this thing would be over in a week.”
