Mayor Bloomberg Wants You to Have the Best Summer Ever

At a press conference planned for Monday in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Mayor Bloomberg will unveil a 190-page plan to revamp Manhattan’s waterfront, dubbed “Vision 2020,” following years of study. A preview of Vision 2020 in today’s New York Post reveals Bloomberg’s plan to have New Yorkers use MetroCards on new ferries crossing the East River, and the city’s awesome idea to turn the 34th Street Heliport into an outdoor movie theater. Bloomberg may or may not be supplying free candy to heliportgoers and encouraging New Yorkers to make out there. That guy! [NYP, DNAInfo]
