That’s what he told House Republicans in a meeting this morning. Long Island congressman Peter King says he gets “the impression that it’s better than 50-50.” Pretty optimistic, but at the same time, King warns that if a deal can’t be reached in the next two days, then it probably won’t be reached “for a long time.” That exact sentiment was echoed by Missouri congressman Billy Long, meaning it’s either the honest truth or it’s what GOP congressmen are supposed to say now to gain leverage.
